What: Salvation Army Homeless Dental Clinic
Where: Salvation Army on 630 East Washington Ave
Who are we helping: Homeless persons living within the shelter
Who is running the clinic: Dentist participants in conjunction with the UW Medical School Med Student Volunteers.
When: Every Thursday night from 6:15pm until done usually 9pm
If I volunteer what do I need to bring with me? The clinic has been recently enlarged and has had new equipment added to it. Volunteers need to have an open outlook and recognize that this is a unique uninsured population (this is not an MA clinic). The goal is to treat any acute dental pathology and to "funnel" patients requiring comprehensive care into the BadgerCare system.
